GO GREEN, HELP SCHOOLS IN AFRICA AND RAISE MONEY FOR PS 154!
The "Green Team", Zimbabwe Committee and the "Free Money" Committee are all working together to make things easier for you and better for PS 154!
By doing any of the below, you can 1) help greenify our community, 2) help our sister schools in Africa, and 3) raise money for PS 154.
Drop off any of the following in the labeled bins in PTA office:
- Used books to be sent to Africa or sold at the book fair to raise funds for PS 154
- English Dictionaries and World Atlases to be sent to Africa
- Printer cartridges and cell phones to raise money for PS 154
- Sneakers to be sent to Africa (good condition) or sent to Nike as part of a recycling program
- Used batteries to help "greenify" our community
- Basic school supplies to be sent to Africa
- Sports equipment to be sent to Africa or used in school yard at lunchtime
- Gardening supplies to be sent to Africa
We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for our school.
We will receive a
percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation from a
number of corporations. Best yet, Grandparents, alumni, neighbors and friends can
take part, too. Big thanks to those who are already doing their part to make a great
school even better. Need more info or have other ideas to contribute? Email Ann
