Construction of new schoolyard
The PTA would like to thank Councilman Bill DeBlasio and Borough President Marty Markowitz for provding the grants for PS 154 Playground. Councilman Bill Deblasio provided a grant of $187,600. Borough President Marty Markowitz have provided a grant of $600,000 for the New School Yard.
UPDATE
We have a firm commitment from the School Construction Authority (SCA) to begin work on our schoolyard after dismissal on the last day of school this June 26th. This plan includes 80% completion of the schoolyard by the first day of school with only minor work required in the fall (small areas of schoolyard being fenced off to be painted, etc. for a few days at a time). The recent meeting went very well and the lack of communication PS 154 has received from the SCA will be corrected moving forward.
